Well here's something you won't often hear from a real estate agent! Don't let the same agent represent the buyer and the seller in the same transaction!
This is a dirty little secret in real estate. People who may not even have four year degrees telling you they can "get you a better deal" if you write your offer with them because they either are the listing agent or are on the listing agent's team. It makes my consumer fraud attorney brain want to explode. 🤯
For all the reasons spelled out in today's buyer-focused blog post, dual agency generally sucks for buyers. Most agents won't tell you that because it's not in their financial interests. We don't roll that way at Silicon Beach Properties.
