Venice Seeks To Move Homeless Population To Westchester

The Fight Continues!
The Venice Neighborhood Council is meeting tonight and they have a motion on their agenda to ask Traci Park for a task force to study bringing their homeless population to LAX properties near our homes. You can read the agenda here (Item 13).
Please note that it appears they intend to invite Del Rey to bring their homeless problem to the party, as well, based on including Del Rey representatives on the task force.
Please take a minute to write Traci’s office and the VNC and tell them that while we are empathetic to their situation, we would appreciate it if they would kindly deal with their own planning issues rather than transferring their problems to Westchester. If you can attend the meeting to convey the same message, that will be an even stronger message.
And while you’re at it, please tell them to stop talking about “LAX” parcels when the truth is these parcels are next door to Westchester homes.
